ARPA/DARPA
[edit]The article mentions that Sigint being the DARPA chief "can be debunked because ARPAnet deals with computer communication and DARPA is for military technology". The thing is, didn't the ARPA agency eventually become DARPA? If he was a memeber of the ARPA, I don't know why it can't be assumed that he was also part of DARPA. I don't really know if he is the same character in MGS, but that isn't enough proof to disprove it.
- ARPA cahnged its name to DARPA, simple as that! They did this as part of an international treaty they signed which said all research into weapons etc had to be in the aim of defence and not offence! The comment this relates to is one of many which should be conducted on the talk page as it is speculation and concept and is not informative. --The Pain 17:06, 8 September 2005 (UTC)
Tidying and Discussion
[edit]This article requires a serious amount of rewriting as it has become a discussion rather than an informative article! Must be rewritten and any discussion regarding Sigints name must be carried out here! --The Pain 02:54, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
Mr? Sigint
[edit]Is his codename "Mr. Sigint" or just plain "Sigint"? I know the name Mr. Sigint was used on the "leaked" document, but he's only introduced as "Mr. Sigint" once in the actual game (presumably as a formality) and every subsequent instance after that, it's just Sigint. I know Naked Snake's full codename is only used once, but unlike the adjective Naked, the title Mister can be easily attached to any name (not to mention I haven't seen any other written source that attaches the Mr. to Sigint's name). So do I move the page to Mr. Sigint or not?
- It's actually SIGINT, as his codename is an acronym and referential to his occupation. This is discribed in a radio transmission between Snake and SIGINT, though I do not remember where it is. Idealy in a later revision it should have a link to SIGINT. --FDIS 10:10, 11 September 2005 (UTC)
