'Delete or Rewrite - Is this even a real topic? Burgundavia 06:39, May 28, 2004 (UTC)
- It most assuredly is [1] The real question is "Is this an encyclopedia topic?" To that I say it could be a good one, but it isn't yet... rewrite/improve -- EmperorBMA|話す 06:48, 28 May 2004 (UTC)

- FDA says it's real, but that there's a bunch of flim-flam surrounding it [2]. -- Cyrius|✎ 07:05, May 28, 2004 (UTC)
It's a very real technology used by companies such as ALZA corp., 3M, Elan Corp, among others. I'm not very familiar with the subject matter, so I started a stub.
This process will have greater and greater effects as products such as ALZA's E-Trans Fentanyl system are launched. I'd love to have this rewritten by a capable person. Ix 07:54, 28 May 2004 (UTC)
Also, the FDA link is in regards to the muscle stimulation properties of Iontophoresis devices, not the pharmaceutical potentials. I concur whole-heartedly that the use of these devices in health-clubs does not have any scientifically proven benefits. Refer to [[3]] (uh, sales propaganda, but the science is sound) Also see: [[4]]
I don't have my copy of United States Pharmacopeia handy at home, but I'm willing to cite relevant passages on Sunday if this topic is still in debate.
USP<726> Electrophoresis (perhaps we should rename article 'Electrophoresis', due to USP referencing it as such). I would do that, but Electrophoresis redirects to 'gel electrophoresis', which does not describe the technology.Ix 01:43, 31 May 2004 (UTC)
You can electrophorise paper as well, not only gel. Dunc Harris | Talk 09:45, 31 May 2004 (UTC)
Keep. This is a real technique. Just no content yet. Keep it so that it gets expanded. Kd4ttc 19:45, 2 Jun 2004 (UTC)
